"An OMG page-turner that literally sucks you in from page one to the last few words. I found myself yearning for more, needing, really, to know what happens next...it's that good." —Gabrielle Union
Solène Marchand, the thirty-nine-year-old owner of an art gallery in Los Angeles, is reluctant to take her daughter, Isabelle, to meet her favorite boy band. But since her divorce, she’s more eager than ever to be close to Isabelle. The last thing Solène expects is to make a connection with one of the members of the world-famous August Moon. But Hayes Campbell is clever, winning, confident, and posh, and the attraction is immediate. That he is all of twenty years old further complicates things.
What begins as a series of clandestine trysts quickly evolves into a passionate and genuine relationship. It is a journey that spans continents as Solène and Hayes navigate each other’s worlds: from stadium tours to international art fairs to secluded hideaways in Paris and Miami. For Solène, it is a reclaiming of self, as well as a rediscovery of happiness and love. When Solène and Hayes’ romance becomes a viral sensation, and both she and her daughter become the target of rabid fans and an insatiable media, Solène must face how her romantic life has impacted the lives of those she cares about most.
This book is so well written. Although, (spoiler alert) I would have preferred a much happier ending. As a mother, I totally related to putting your child’s happiness before your own. As a lover of romance, I was caught up in their love story. I read this book in two days in between working full time, doing laundry, cooking dinner, and taking my son to school . That’s how good this book is!!
Will tear your heart out !
Omg this was such an emotional read (in a good way) ... who hasn’t dreamt of being with their boy band crush?!? I know I have lol I literally read this book in one day . Loved this book!
The Idea Of You
This is by far one of the best books I’ve ever read. The ending had me in actual tears. You get so caught up in the book that you never want to stop reading and when you finally do you can’t wait to get back to it. The emotions that run through your head while reading it, you feel as if you are actually experiencing it. The two main characters Solène and Hayes have such strong chemistry that you can’t not love them. This book is a definite must read. It’s not just another romance novel it also deals with women empowerment and how even though we get older, we just need to remind ourselves that we are beautiful, we are wanted, and we are loved. Don’t listen to what social media has to say about how we as women should act or look. Listen to your heart and everything will be okay. Thank you Robinne Lee! 💕
