The Knife of Never Letting Go
Book 1, Chaos Walking - Chaos Walking: Book One
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Todd Hewitt is the only boy in a town of men. Ever since the settlers were infected with the Noise germ, Todd can hear everything the men think, and they hear everything he thinks. Todd is just a month away from becoming a man, but in the midst of the cacophony, he knows that the town is hiding something from him -- something so awful Todd is forced to flee with only his dog, whose simple, loyal voice he hears too. With hostile men from the town in pursuit, the two stumble upon a strange and eerily silent creature: a girl. Who is she? Why wasn't she killed by the germ like all the females on New World? Propelled by Todd's gritty narration, readers are in for a white-knuckle journey in which a boy on the cusp of manhood must unlearn everything he knows in order to figure out who he truly is.
I loved it and hated it at the same time!!! :D my emotions were all over the place...couldn't put it down. HIGHLY recommend it! ;)
The knife of never letting go.
Currently i'am taking an AP English Language and composition class. We were assigned to read a book in 3 weeks. We were allowed to choose the books. For some reason, this book called my name when the teacher gave a short summary of it. After reading the first chapter, I instantly became interested deeply in this book. I LOVE THIS BOOK. the only part that I hate is that I did not know if Viola lives or dies. I'm distraught that the book ended this way. I fuel that means I have to buy the next book to figure this asking out (I say that sad but happily, yet sarcastic know I'm excitedly suffering to read the other books.) this book makes me feel so... So... I don't know how to explain. But it makes me feel some kind of way that I cannot explain. I will truly have a great time convincing everyone in my class to go buy this book. This is truly a great book to read if your are at a place in your life trying to find your identity. I love you Patrick Ness you don't understand what you have done. You have created a masterpiece! Brilliance. My new favorite book is THE KNIFE OF NEVER LETTING GO. I must capitalize all the letters to show their importance. It's great, its brilliance, its a masterpiece, its a bird, its a plane, no wait... It's THE KNIFE OF NEVER LETTING GO. I'm really corny now that I think about it. If anyone would like to discuss this book with me call me at (702)823-6162. That's how in love i'am with this book. Ha
Brilliant novel with superb world building and characters so well developed that I heard their Noise even when I wasn't reading. One of the best reads I've read in a long time. I wish we were related so I could pick his brain.
