The Loft
It is always a pleasure to read about Ophelia, Annie and Oliver. This story introduces us to a few more fun characters, Max, and all the people from Ophelia's new home at Hanover House. Bad things happen along with the good things that make Bette's stories so exciting. It's a very good read.
Wonderful Book!
Another magical story by Bette Lee Crosby who is indeed a masterful storyteller. Opehlia and Annie are back in this book entering new phases in their lives, Annie just having married Oliver and Ophelia realizing she will be alone once again in Memory House. Not wanting to give anything away about the story, there are some things that occur for both Ophelia and Annie that affects their futures and causes them to make some important decisions. There are new friendships that develop for both with new lovable characters. I loved this book and felt very connected to the characters and to the story itself. It felt very real to me. Ms Crosby truly knows how to bring characters to life in her stories. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Memories are food for the soul
The Loft by Bette Lee Crosby is a second book in the Memory House series and continues the story of Annie and Ophelia. Annie, heartbroken and alone, found herself at 90-year-old Ophelia's B & B. In a house full of magical memories they found a connection and formed a bond. A bond that would carry them through the events that unfold in The Loft. Events that will tip the Scale of Life from happiness to sorrow. Ophelia and her husband had made many happy memories in the Loft, in Memory House. Can she leave that enchanting place to live in another place without memories? Annie and her new husband are just beginning to make their together memories when tragedy invades their lives. Can she find the connection in memories that will bring healing? Can she learn to focus on what is left and not what has been lost? The Loft is a beautiful story of a constant love and of friendship and a faith that will bring balance to life.
