Agatha Christie's ginius for detective fiction is unparalleled. Her worldwide popularity is phenomenal, her characters engaging, her plots spellbinding. No one knows the human heart—or the dark passions that can stop it—better than Agatha Christie. She is truly the one and only Queen of Crime.
The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd
Village rumor hints that Mrs. Ferrars poisoned her husband, but no one is sure. Then there's another victim in a chain of death. Unfortunately for the killer, master sleuth Hercule Poirot takes over the investigation.
Best Mystery EVER
This book is simply outstanding. The whole plot has many turning points, but the ending has an unbelievable twist. I won't give any spoilers like some other comments, but I recommend paying close attention at the times given at the beginning (i know it is slow) if you want to understand the ending better. This is my new favorite book and recommend it to anyone. These books were written in the 1930s I believe so some things are harder to understand but these iBooks have a feature where you can highlight a word and choose for it to search for the word in a dictionary. <<<< very helpful. Guarantee this book will keep you guessing
although every agatha christie novel is almost impossible to predict, this one takes the cake. cleverly written. this novel will change the way you see the genre of mystery. honestly. not only is it a revolutionary case, but it's interesting to follow and watch the different plotlines unravel. five stars. this is a must read.
ps - dont read this book first, though! being the wildest and most revolutionary, it will make all the others seem too plain, and thats saying something!
Good read (spoiler)
Very much so enjoyed the book, but to much use of the 'little grey cells' for me. Also, the ending confuses me. Did doctor Shepard kill mr. Ackroyd?
