Description

Single dad Max isn’t looking for love—he only needs someone to help take care of his two-year-old daughter, Chloe. Or so he thinks. After being kicked out of his parents’ house, he’s determined to make it on his own. But juggling a full-time job, an undergrad program, and childcare is pretty much impossible. When his best friend jokingly suggests he post an ad for a live-in nanny on Craigslist, he goes for it. After all, he has nothing to lose . . . right?

When artist Savannah quickly responds to his ad, Max is thrilled. Her resume is perfect and Chloe seems to like her, despite the slightly menacing tattoos decorating her arm. Savannah brings a light and warmth into his life that he never thought possible. Max hasn’t so much as dated since Chloe was born, but he’s willing to give it a shot with Savannah. There’s just one problem.

Everything is perfect just the way it is. Even his daughter is happy. If he messed up things up with Savannah, how could he ever forgive himself?

The Nanny with the Skull Tattoos is a standalone contemporary New Adult romance.

The nanny with the skull tattoos

"The Nanny with the skull tattoos" by Elizabeth Barone is about a young father having to face something that happens to quite a lot of people, moving out and having to find your way on your own. Except his has an added bonus to sort out into his new routine, which is his young daughter. He has to take on a whole new stressful responsibility and find a way to manage on his own. I have received this book in exchange for an honest review of the story. This is actually one of my favorite books by Barone so far. The characters were very easy to relate to myself in several different ways. Something as small as Savannah having tattoos and then being judged off the bat, to a more in depth family issue all connected to me. As well as having a child and trying to do whats best for them is which why I loved the book so much. I feel I could practically tell the story myself and walk in his shoes. I can't say there's something I didn't like since nothing comes to mind, except just maybe I would of liked a little more story on Savannah or her family life. It all flowed very well and had those hold your breath moments, to even a teary eyed one for me.
I would recommend checking this book out for the fact that it's a perfect little read of finding your ground that you will want to finish right away.

Such A Great Read!

This Is By Far My Favorite Novel by Elizabeth. It Just Seems Like Her Books Just Get Better And Better. Original, Beautifully Written With Just Enough Steam, This Book Is Absolutely Amazing. The Nanny With The Skull Tattoos Is Filled With Witty Characters, Real-Life Drama, And A Romance That Will Leave You Begging For More. Once I Started Reading This Book, I Couldn't Stop. The Chemistry Between Max & Savannah Sent Sparks Right Off The Pages. I Love Barone's Writing Style. She Totally Seduced Me With Her Words. There Were So Many Scenes That I Adored In This Book That I Found Myself Sighing In A Dreamy State Of Romance Or Writing Down Some Of My Favorite Quotes. Can't Wait For More! Impatiently Awaiting A Sequel.

A fun weekend read!

The Nanny with the Skull Tattoos is a romance story about a young man, Max, who is struggling to grow up while also caring for a daughter he had very young. He hires a nanny to live with him, Savannah, and romance and heartache and tense times follow.
The story flows quickly and easily. You find yourself moving from chapter to chapter without realizing that in one sitting you’ve easily burned through five or six chapters. The characters are well formed and as you read you want to know them. I found myself very frustrated by Max making stupid decisions and wanting to know how Savannah was going to react to certain things that were unfolding. I also quickly decided who I liked and who I didn’t among the other characters.
The events in the book could be seen as unbelievable if it weren’t for the fact that the characters felt real. When it comes to love everyone has their opinions of “what would actually happen” versus “what is totally unrealistic.” But no matter the situations the characters found themselves in you didn’t question the reality of it, instead you just shook your head, either yes in agreement or no in disbelief.
I found myself reading the final page with immense satisfaction. As all good stories do I couldn’t help but feel an emotional tug towards everyone in the book and hoping that their lives after the final printed words truly did pan out for the best.
I really enjoyed the story that Elizabeth crafted and look forward to reading more of her work. If you like contemporary stories about characters that could be your friends and family you should check out her body of work. I can guarantee there’s something there for just about everyone.
