The Prince and the Pauper is a novel by American author Mark Twain. The novel represents Twain's first attempt at historical fiction. Prince and the Pauper

At 73 I thoroughly enjoyed this book .

Prince and the Pauper

Lost interest became boring af

Enjoyable

While the story obviously never happened, it’s a great read and great entertainment, from the story of the switch to the breathtaking suspense of the moment when the real king might have been rejected. I consider the character Tom Canty to be a noble person, and an honest one in his readiness to insist the real king have the throne. Few people of today will do that. Excellent book!
