The Professor Woos The Witch

Book 4, Nocturne Falls - Nocturne Falls book 4

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.

Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.

Pandora Williams is Nocturne Falls’ most successful real estate agent. And least successful witch. Her magic never has the intended outcome, but she’s learned to live with that. Mostly. Yes, it sucks, but what can she do? Then a hot new neighbor shows up and suddenly her magic works. Very cool, but very suspect. Especially since he’s a total non-believer.

Cole Van Zant likes practicality and absolutes. Things he can see and touch. So not magic. But when his teenage daughter insists she’s a witch—and they’re now living in a town that celebrates Halloween every day—he needs help. Of the witchy variety. Thankfully, his sexy neighbor buys into all that hocus pocus.

Enlisting her help seems like a great idea until spending time together reveals a supernatural surprise about who Cole really is. A secret even he didn’t know. Could Pandora and Cole really be meant for one another or is their attraction too much to believe?

Can I PLEASE move to Nocturn Falls?!?!

Book number 4 in the Nocturn Falls series is even better than the earlier books (and I didn't think that would be possible). If I could pack my bags and find a nice, cozy house in Nocturn Falls, I wouldn't think twice! Halloween is my favorite holiday and any town that celebrates it 365 days a year is a winner in my book.
In The Professor Woos The Witch we have Pandora, a witch with wonky witchcraft (say THAT 3 times fast) and Cole, the hunky math professor from out of town. Sparks fly, spells are cast, and love is in the air.I don't want to give anything away, so just do yourself a favor and start reading. While you don't HAVE to start with book one, you'd be missing out on some great stories and some insight to other characters in the book.

Wichy and Spectacular

First off...I received and ARC for an honest review.
What can I say? I'm addicted to Nocturne Falls and everyone who lives there. Kristen Painter again delivers a spectacular mind bending immersion into the supernatural life. You can feel the witchy senses just beyond sight. Pandora's box has been opened in a good way.

Pandora Williams cur favorite house witch of Nocturne Falls whose magic has never worked right meets the yummy geeky Professor Cole Van Zant and can't stand him one bit. His daughter on the other hand is a kindred spirit and witch. Now if they can only convince the stubborn practical Cole to accept that witches (and other supernaturals) are real, they might have a chance at something spectacular.

Throw in that we get to see Delaney, Hugh, Willa and Sheriff Merrow through cameos in the book, well you can't get a better story.

I give this book a solid 5 stars and can't wait for more.

Mild (PG) (PDAs: Kissing)
Violence: None besides a small magic fight.

The Professor Woos the Witch

The Professor Woos the Witch by Kristen Painter

Nocturne Falls is a town where Halloween is celebrated year round. For the tourists. In reality, the non human population use the premise of Halloween so they can hide in plain sight.
What fun to know there are vampires, witches, werewolves, gargoyles and others walking around casually on the street! Doesn't it make you wonder if maybe???

This book is the 4th in the fun series. I'm having a blast reading them. This one includes a witch whose powers aren't all that great and a human familiar. Creative. And I love that family is so important to everyone in the town. They care. That's so nice.
Read this book for a funny, romping non Halloween.

Cole Van Zant has inherited a house in Nocturne Falls that needs quite a bit of fixing up. His daughter, Kalay, thinks she is a witch, so is happy to find that witches are not uncommon here. Pandora Williams is glad to have the potential sale of the mansion as her commission but can't quite believe how much of a muggle Cole is.

Two short excerpts that show the humor of the writing, and life twists that can happen when love enters your life.

“[the dragon shifter had] become almost like an older brother to her, which was fine, because he certainly wasn’t her type romantically.
Sadly, Cole was. The giant poophead.”
Excerpt From: Painter, Kristen. “The Professor Woos The Witch"

“Never in his life had the impending visit of a woman given Cole the kind of jittery buzz he was currently experiencing. He’d been to the front door twice to look for Pandora’s car. Actually, three times considering this recent trip. But the driveway remained empty.
“Dad, what are you doing?”
Cole jerked back. “Nothing.”
Kaley grinned. “You’re looking for Miss Williams.”
“Good comeback.”
