Mackenzie Allen Phillips's youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.
Heard about this book from friends. It is a must read. It will really make you think and change your perception about life and religion.
Simply awesome, my new fav... A must read period
This book starts off a little slow, but I believe it does an incredible job laying a good foundation for the rest of the book. Ended up being a book I just couldn't & didn't want to stop reading. This from someone who usually doesn't read for enjoyment! An amazing must read!!
A deep but hope filled read
It is a challenging book, not because of the darkness but because of the light that will make you re-think your mindsets on God and His love for man. Truly a must-read!
