The Wind in the Willows
Publisher Description
This much-loved story follows a group of animal friends in the English countryside .The chief characters - Mole, Rat, and Toad - generally lead upbeat and happy lives, but their tales are leavened with moments of terror, homesickness, awe, madcap antics, and derring-do. Although classed as children’s literature, The Wind in the Willows holds a gentle fascination for adults too.

Wordy
I haven't gotten it on my phone yet but I've read the first few pages and I'm at the toad house part, and I have no clue what's going on. It's extremely wordy and kinda hard to understand but I'm still giving it a chance.
Beautifully written treasure for young and old
What a wonderful, endearing series of stories that make a reader fall in love with words…and a Rat, Mole, Toad, Badger and Otter alike. The adventures are great. The humor is raucous. And, the storytelling is divine. My only regret is that there in only one novel to enjoy.
Comfort in turbulent times
When my heart and mind need quieting, when the ills of this world are almost too, too much, when I need to retreat to a quiet place and think about something else, there is nothing as helpful in that regard as a classic tale of about wise and kind animals.
