Thirty-Four and a Half Predicaments

Book 7, Rose Gardner Mystery - A Rose Gardner Mystery #7

This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

Book seven in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling Rose Gardner Mystery series.

**Includes Thirty-Four and a Half Predicaments bonus chapters

Rose Gardner hates seeing her normally flamboyant best friend Neely Kate struggle with depression. So when Rose stumbles onto a piece of evidence indicating her birth mother might have been involved in a crime, she does the one thing guaranteed to cheer Neely Kate. She convinces her friend to help her solve a mystery. Though their penchant for investigating has gotten them into plenty of pickles in the past, what can go wrong if they’re looking into a case that went cold a quarter of a century ago? But the deeper they dig, the more dirt they unearth.

While she’s busy unraveling the past, Rose must also reprise her role as the Lady in Black as part of her ongoing agreement with the king of the Fenton County underworld. In so doing, she discovers a mysterious enemy is intent on attacking her friends, and her assistant DA boyfriend might be next on the list.

As both situations reach a boiling point, Rose must face the possibility that certain secrets were meant to remain buried and not even her special talent can get her out of every predicament.

I never want this series to end

*I received an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

Rose Gardner is one of my favorite characters. I don't think of her as a fictional person in a fictional world with fictional problems. Denise Grover Swank has added so much depth and emotion to her that I can't help but think of her as a real person. I love her quirkiness and how much she's grown over the life of the series. She continues to surprise me and to worm her way into my life. I can't help sometimes but think of how Rose would react to something or use phrases like "crappy doodles" in daily life. Even my kids say "crappy doodles!"

I always drop everything to read Rose and see what kind of shenanigans she gets herself into. I don't just love her for her entertainment factor but for the insight that she has into some of life's larger problems. She's got boat loads of trouble, stress, and drama. It's how she deals with it that offers that extra something that I get from reading about her. I always learn something new about myself and take away some new appreciation for the little things after reading a Rose Gardner tale.

Dark and Twisty...

My heart aches for Neely Kate in this novel. Rose's world has become very dark as we discover more about JR Simmons's reach into manipulating the lives of the citizens of Southern Arkansas. Rose is determined to prevail and save her friend from the depression she has sunk into after losing her babies. So far this is the darkest of the Rose Gardner novels, but it was no less riveting and I think it makes the character more believable. As Rose is no longer sheltered in her 'cocoon' she has been forced to deal with serious issues. It shows the perseverance of the heroine and demonstrates her love and devotion to her friends. Excellent installment to the Rose Gardner series.

Read this series

I have the biggest book hangover!!! I don't know if I can't wait to November to find out what happens.

this book was pure awesomeness!!! it was everything you expect of a Rose Gardner book. I love Rose and Neely Kate's friendship and is one of my favorite parts of the book. To see Rose just being their for her friend as she is going through a hard time was wonderful. I think they should open up their own private detective agency if the landscaping business doesn't work!

This book just brought out so much emotions and that cliffhanger had me screaming, crying and wanting to throw my kindle. I can't wait to read more and to see how this whole JR solution will get resolved
