Description
Almost from the beginning of filmmaking, editing and technology were joined together, constantly evolving. Timeline Digital uses exclusive audio and text interviews, historical information, interactive graphics, exclusive photographs, patents, and video to tell that story. Filmmakers like Vertov, Griffith, Porter, Méliès, Scorsese, Kubrick, and editors like Schoonmaker are included. In 1924 Lyta Cinema Works built the first dedicated editing device but it was sixty five years before a digital equivalent arrived. In the intervening years individuals, and teams imagined tools that could join images together in the blink of an eye.
