On Perfect Harmony, the ambitious competitors heat things up on stage and off…
Cody Rivers is determined to be a rock star, but couch-surfing between bar shows gets old fast. Joining an a cappella group for a new singing competition show could be his last chance at real fame—unless the college boy from the heart of the country messes it up for him. Lucas Norwood is everything gothy, glittery Cody is not—conservative, clean-cut, and virginal. But when a twist in the show forces them together, even the sweetest songs get steamy as the attraction between them lights up the stage. Lucas wants to take it slow, but Cody’s singing a different tune—and this time it may be a love song…
How about A-Cappella group's performers meeting their 1st-time?
Two very complicated personalities deal with their emotions, desires, dealing with their very brief participation in an A-Cappella singing contest! A charming energetic semi-professional 23-year old, who is experienced; excitingly talented; attractive; and a colorful performer; with a great personality; plus being an exceptional tenor - Cody Rivers - leads his five member performance group in a summer Canadian TV A-Cappella talent "Perfect Harmony" contest convention. CODY RIVERS is aiming for his team to win the grand $$$$ prize! During preliminary group stage rehearsals, Cody watches a MM-University A-Cappella practice an opening segment, noticing one of the group's BIG-BOY bass singers, his appearance like an uncoordinated 5'-10-1/2" tall large frame shouldered BIG foot OOFUS, foot-size ? "11." -- who ? Turns out to be Lucas Norwood, a 21-yr old farm-boy and a "real" virgin; who is stumbling, knocking over stage sound speakers, unable to follow his team's choreographed staging! This introduction is the initial story's set-UP. Just enjoy their bumpy FUNNY foot race in discovery, heat, exasperation - in how Cody teaches Lucas Norwood how to dance; learn to use his body rhythm; sharpen his performance skills; to be breaking out of his shy-shell. This is a wonderful descriptive romance... Just a crazy destiny neither guy is prepared to regret !!!
Cody and Lucas = hot!
Two things I love – a capella singing and MM romance – together in this wonderful book by Annabeth Albert.
Cody wants to be a singing star more than anything but a capella isn’t where he sees himself. Lucas is one of the straightest out of the closet guys that Cody has ever met. The two are thrown together during a TV singing competition and they couldn’t be more different. Cody is flamboyant; Lucas is ultra conservative. Cody had a not-so-great childhood and his grandmother threw him out when he came out to her. Lucas’s parents were supportive when he came out and even helped set up a gay/straight alliance at the conservative college he attends.
Because this is a gay romance you know the sparks are gonna fly between Cody and Lucas but you have to read the story for yourself to understand how they come together. There are a lot of ups and downs in their relationship – and boy is the sexy time HOT!!
Ms. Albert’s writing is flows smoothly and is wonderfully descriptive; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
