Tutu de Miles Davis

Au programme de l'option musique au bac, l'album intitulé "Tutu" de Miles Davis. Cet album, couronné d'un Grammy Awards en 1987 témoigne de la maturité artistique de Miles Davis et de son talent pour s'entourer de nouveaux prodiges du jazz. Ainsi, Marcus Miller compose, arrange et réalise la maquette de l'album, dans des titres dont les influences sont nombreuses, à commencer par celle de la musique de Miles Davis. 

Dans une première partie, ce livre fait la synthèse de la carrière de Miles Davis, à travers les différents courants qu'il a initiés de 1945 aux années 90. Dans un second temps, il se focalisera sur l'analyse des trois premiers titres de l'album : Tutu, Tomaas et Portia.

This album, crowned Grammy Awards in 1987 testifies to the artistic maturity of Miles Davis and his talent for surrounding himself with new wonders of jazz. Thus, Marcus Miller composes, arranges and performs the standards of the album, behind the shadow of the music of Miles Davis. 

In a first part, this book is a synthesis of the work of Miles Davis, through the different styles that he initiated between 1945 to 90’s. Secondly, it will focus on the analysis of the first three tracks on the album: Tutu, Tomaas and Portia.
