The Twilight Saga, which also includes New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella, and The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, has sold nearly 155 million copies worldwide.
Amazing but "difficult"
I love this it is amazing...my only thing is it being so similar to Twilight I slipped into re-reading mode and that started to mess with my head but it is still incredible
I'm very excited for this and I think it can open up those to the book who may have otherwise felt inhibited, or in other words, they can feel more relevance to this one.
Thank you. I think this is quite big actually. You stumbled onto something many have pondered but few (if any) ever attempted.
There have been many criticisms of Twilight - Bella's a faceless, forgettable character who only gets to be the damsel in distress. Stephenie said that a boy in her place, surrounded by vampire superheroes, would experience the same thing.
Well, reimagine Twilight with Beau in her place instead.
Stephenie Meyer fixed all the problems that she was itching to fix, and she came out with a stronger, more wonderful book. If you were a fan of Twilight or The Host, which remains one of my favorite books of all time, you'll like this book.
SPOILERS: The ending surprised me. Of course I knew that the tracker took Bella into the ballet studio, but the outcome changed sharply there. I wondered how the emergency vampirization would go if Bella DIDN'T have a baby...as she could not as a male. Alice/Archie comes to play, and I loved that. Archie/Alice was always on the verge of changing Bella in the original, and in here, Alice plays a bigger role. I really enjoyed the swapped story. It's not 'just' swapped. It is different, and it's really cool to look at Twilight if it ended at the first book.
