A Real Page-Turner
Amy Hale is definitely an author to keep your eye on. With her debut novel, she proves that she has what it takes to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Ulterior Motives is a powerful suspense novel that you'll find impossible to put down. I highly recommend it!
Couldn't put it down
I loved this book and will be reading any new books that Amy releases. Mystery, romance, and good character development are a few things you'll enjoy about this book. A definite must read!
Ulterior Motives is a romantic suspense that has you questioning who did it throughout the story. Ellie witnessed her mothers murder when she was a child. Her father never gave up looking for her mothers murder and ended up dieing in a plane crash just as he got close to the truth. A close family friend felt the timing of her fathers accident was too suspicious and hires a bodyguard for Ellie without her knowledge. This is where Pax comes in. He has to try and protect Ellie without telling her what he really does. Pax implements himself into Ellie's life and they both start falling for each other. Of course Ellie finds out and pushes Pax away opening herself up to danger.
This story was predictable but not predictable. I had suspicions from the start who was behind everything and I was partially right but was still surprised with what I missed.
