no. 19, The Brides of the Kindred - The Brides of the Kindred, No. 19

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

They tore him from his family, erased his past, even stripped him of his name—all to mold him into the perfect fighting machine and ultimate bodyguard. They call him Varin—the Bound One—and he is utterly devoted to one woman alone, the Princess Brynalla of Galen Prime.

Though he doesn’t know it, Varin is a Vision Kindred—able to see and decimate any enemy’s weakness immediately. His branch of the Kindred form a dream-sharing bond early—a fact that has been exploited to bind him to Princess Brynalla of the Royal House of Galen Prime. But the bond is only supposed to go one way—no one knows that Brynalla dreams of her silent, stoic guard nearly as often as he dreams of her. Though he can never have her, Varin is sworn to protect her with his life…but there are some things even he can’t protect her from.

When a race of insectile beings called the Hive threaten Galen Prime, Brynalla’s father agrees to hand his daughter over to their leader, X’izith, as a Breeding Queen. Varin saves her from a fate worse than death but the Hive’s memory is long and hungry—Varin and Brynn won’t be safe until they find a haven to shelter them.

Varin knows he has a people and a past—if he can find them, he can protect his princess. But the memory block that keeps him from remembering, also binds him to Brynn. Will he still love her when he recovers his past and becomes Unbound? And can even the might of the Kindred save them from the hunger and fury of the Hive?
You’ll have to read Brides of the Kindred 19, Unbound, coming March 2017, to find out.

Customer Reviews

The newest Kindred book, Unbound, really left me wanting more! I am a huge fan of Evangeline Anderson's Kindred series and have read every book.

Unbound was different. It left me on the edge of my seat and gave me a huge case of anxiety from the trials and tribulations faced by Brynn and Varin.

Of course the other books in the series were fabulous in their own right, this book had a slightly darker, more desperate feel to it that just felt ... Raw.

I couldn't stop reading until I finished and I'll be chomping at the bit for the next in the series.

I highly recommend easing this entire series.

Engaging and Very Entertaining

One of the best books I’ve read. You will not want to start reading too late at night because you will not want to put it down and stop reading. Highly engaging story with lots of different emotions.
This story is about a princess that was sent off to be raise by the Sisters of Chastity and Obedience. Making Princess Brynnalla very naïve in the ways of the real world. Upon returning home her parents want to marry her off to the highest bidder due to the fact they have a male heir.
Varin was bought as a slave for the Princess when he was 7 years old. A vision Kindred that was blood bonded to while she was a baby. At that point his whole life has been dedicated to train to be the best so he could protect her. But it’s had to protect her when she’s sold off and he’s not allowed to go with her.
This book has the whole spectrum of emotions running through the book. So very engaging that at one point I had tears of sadness and then tears of joy. This may be part of a series yet it is a self-contained story. Well written and very entertaining to read.

Great Series

I voluntarily read and review this ARC I wasn't compensated in any way with that being said this book wasn't what I expected but it was a great addition to the Kindred series. Usually I felt like the stories in this series have more or less the same storyline but Unbound had a totally different approach. Yes there were some dark elements but I don't feel like that took away from the story at all. So if your into adventure with a little bit of danger and intrigue throwing into the mixed then you should one click this series.
