Book 1, Drexler University
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Two years ago, the medical world was shaken by scandal, and Payton Daniels's family was at the center of it. The second she graduated, Payton left everything behind—her high school sweetheart, her family, and the controversy surrounding her mother's death—and hid within the anonymity of college. But Payton's ex, Blake Hiller, hasn't forgiven her for leaving, and when he enrolls in the same medical ethics class, she panics. She can't run the risk of him telling everyone who she really is.
As if being at the same university isn't enough, both Blake and Payton land the same internship. Forced together, their passion for each other reignites, but when Payton is asked to testify in her father's high-profile trial, she must choose between risking her acceptance into medical school to help her father, and losing every connection to her past—including the only guy she's ever loved.
Each book in the Drexler University series is STANDALONE:
Unethical by Jennifer Blackwood is a story of love, betrayal, tragedy, and self-discovery.
Payton has found her way back to California despite her best efforts and is using her mothers maiden name as her last name. Two years ago her family was at the center of a scandal that rocked the medical community and caused her to flee to the anonymity of Florida for her first two years of college. She's back, and she's wishing she wasn't. Once again, the reality of her life is ready to slap her in the face. As long as she can remain unconnected to her father she should be in the clear.
Enter stage right: Blake Hiller. Blake is the ex-boyfriend that Payton left in her dust when things went down. He returned from his graduation trip to Mexico to find her gone. No number, no address, no explanation. He has spent the past two years trying to get over Payton only to find her again and have her pretend to not even know him.
What happens when the past you buried won't stay down, when the tragedy haunts you and the past starts to meld with the present?
A beautiful story of romance tied in with a really interesting story line. I would like to read more from this author.
Great read. I couldn't put it down.
Loved this book!
Unethical by Jennifer Blackwood is wonderful story of love and forgiveness. It struggles with the issue of assisted suicide and the implications that such a suicide can have on everyone involved. It also deals with many of the issues facing young people in college, such as balancing social life and school, the temptation of drugs, and relationships. Ms. Blackwood does a great job of showing how her characters deal with each issue and what they learn from their experiences.
