The Citizens of Haven have finally realized their dream; separation. They have ascended. A new layer has been placed upon the city, sealing anyone they deem unfit down below.
In the dark slums beneath the city, something has been set in motion that will usher in a change. Something that will rattle the city of Haven to its core and forever alter the lives of everyone within.
Needs to be edited
Fairly interesting story, but the grammar and syntax is horrible. It seems this has never been reviewed by an editor.
I wanted to like Haven
The story has tons of intrigue but it becomes heavy and drawn out. There were too many characters and pointless dialogue. If you don't like to read about military tactics and war scenes you will find yourself skipping the middle half of the book like I did. The only redeeming story line for me was that of Malcolm but it ends lamely.
Amazing until the end
Nothing kills a great book better than a horrible ending. Seriously. It was a fantastic read, right up to the end. Then it ended. I tried to flip to the next page, but alas there were no more. I tried multiple times actually in minor disbelief. It wasn't until I checked the page count that I realized, "Oh, this really IS the end."
It's still a great read. Just be prepared to make up your own ending. I did.
