Magnificent Photos of Venice

Gorgeous photographic tribute to the magic and mystery of Venice!

This beautiful book is filled with classic views of stunning detail and clarity as well as unique perspectives, portraying both the daily realities and the air of intriguing mystery that veils Venice, particularly when a soft fog envelops the city.

The photographer's credentials must have allowed him access normally denied for photography as evidenced by the tantalizing views of seldom seen but opulent interiors from The Doges Palace, Frari Church, The Hotel Danieli and other locations.

An entire section showcases photographs of the ever-changing and fascinating reflections found throughout the liquid streets of Venice. These images are alone a reason to own this wonderful book - they are works of art, shimmering with impressionistic ripples of color or capturing in still water an upside down parallel world.

Whether you have visited Venice many times, are planning your first trip or are a dedicated armchair traveler, this book will transport you to this fabulous city again and again. Enthusiastically recommended.

Venice by David C. Phillips Review

I really enjoyed having all those wonderful photos of Venice on my iPad, I was just on a plane to England and I started looking at them and it was such a pleasent moment for me to recall my last visit to Venice that I wished my plane was going to Venice instead! If you haven't been there or if you plan to visit Venice, you MUST get this increadible book!!

Review of David C. Phillips book on Venice

This is the most exquisite book on Venice I have ever seen.

Having been to Venice twice I feel this book makes Venice look even better than it really is simply because the photos are so rich in color and the quality is so superb.

The fact that the artist included some video clips throughout the book put me, the viewer, right into Venice. I literally slid into the world of Venice and forgot, while immersed in the book, that I live in a rather unimpressive town in Florida!

Well done David. You ARE a master photographer with a unique view of people and places magically bringing them alive and giving them character.
