No one grounds a barbarian warrior.
Qulpa, a Chamele warrior, lost everyone he loved in the brutal Succession Wars. Flying is the only thing that brings him joy. Serving as his team’s pilot is the sole duty he has left. Then a horrific crash leaves him injured and unable to fly.
The one being who can help him is also his gerel, the female destined to be his. She insists she doesn’t feel their connection. Qulpa is certain his beautiful mate is lying and nothing will stop him from finding out why.
Nayan knows the injured barbarian is her warrior, her one chance at a forever bond. His dominance makes her feel safe. His gentle touch inflames her passion. His kisses scorch her very soul. The tall muscular male tempts her as no one else has.
But she has a deadly secret. If it’s exposed, her injured male will lose more than his ability to fly. Both of them will die. She can’t take that risk, not for him, not for them, not for a lifespan filled with love.

Warlord Sky is a STANDALONE Alien Barbarian SciFi Romance set in a dark, gritty, sometimes violent universe.
It is the first of six core stories in the Chamele Barbarian Warlord series.
Book 1: Warlord Sky
Book 2: Warlord’s Bounty
Book 3: Warlord Unarmed
Book 4: Warlord Reunited
Book 5: Warlord’s Mercy
Book 6: Warlord’s Return
A splendid new story with the Chamele warriors!
What can I say? The emotions elicited by Ms. Sax’s characters are deep. I feel the anguish of a young child being bullied and battered, the pull of a warrior to his gerel, the relief of a woman who can trust her innermost secrets with her mate, the satisfaction of acceptance from others...
I love Nayan’s hard-won strength and the way she puts her own needs into creating designs that benefit not only her, but her Warlord and his people. Qulpa is wonderful! He’s suffered great losses and now counts his team members as his family (there’s room for more). Qulpa is romantic: “He had touched her systems, revved her engines, found joy in handling her vessel...” He never wavers in his pursuit of his gerel, placing her needs before all else. Although there aren’t many things being blown up, the explosive anger of a warrior seeking retribution for harm to his gerel is a sight to behold!
Awesome writing, highly recommended!
A HEA for a wounded warrior and his genius mate
Heartwarming read. Love the details about the Chamele race and their planet and society. Acceptance of differences and the differently abled are a recurring theme in Ms. Sax’s books, and I’m always touched with how she weaves those parts of the stories in so seamlessly. There’s a home for everyone in her stories, and beings are valued, treasured for the ways their differences make them strong. I’m excited to learn more about Khan and the rest of the warriors.
