What the Heart Remembers

Book 3, Memory House Series - A Memory House Novel, Book 3

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

Max Martinelli spent her junior year of college in Paris, and fell in love. Julien was a wickedly handsome young man who was crazy in love with her, or so she thought. He was a free-spirited artist and she an aspiring architect—impressionable, young, and standing on the brink of womanhood.

That was over three years ago but the memory of him still haunts her. Max’s life is stuck on hold because she can’t stop wondering what would have happened if she had gone back. Was Julien simply part of the magic of Paris? Or was he meant to be her destiny?

After a New Year’s Eve party that ends in disaster and bad dreams, Max decides to find out once and for all. She is going to return to Paris and search for Julien. But will her search bring forever after happiness or a truth so ugly it will change her life forever?

Wonderful novel!

What the Heart Remembers by Bette Lee Crosby is the third book in the Memory House Collection. Annie and Oliver Doyle are happily enjoying their home and awaiting the birth of their baby. Max (Maxine) Martinelli is Annie’s friend and an architect. Max has been unable to move forward with her life since she returned from Paris three years ago. When Max was in Paris she met and fell in love with Julien Marceau. Julien was supposed to follow Max back to the states. Unfortunately, Max never heard from Julien again. Now Max thinks that Julien could have been in an accident and have amnesia. That is why he never contacted her. Max is determined to go to Paris and look for Julien. Annie has tried talking to Max (to get her to move on) and she has even tried to set her up with Oliver’s old law partner, Andrew Steen. This is a journey that Max needs to go on in order to have a future. Annie sends her off at the airport with some special tea.

Max goes to Paris and starts searching for Julien. Will Max find what she is looking for in Paris? Or will she find something even better? Join us on Max’s journey in What the Heart Remembers. What the Heart Remembers is a wonderful book to read. I did want to strangle Max at times, but I understand how she feels (it is hard to get over someone). It is nice to revisit the characters in the Memory House Collection. We get to see how Ophelia Browne is enjoying her new life at Baylor Towers, how Oliver is doing after his accident, and we get to find out if Annie has a boy or a girl! I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and did not want it to end. I think this is my favorite book from the Memory House Collection. I give What the Heart Remembers 5 out of 5 stars. In order to enjoy What the Heart Remembers, you really do need to read the other two books in the series (in order for everything to make sense).

I received a complimentary copy of What the Heart Remembers from the author in exchange for an honest review.

A very good read.

This is a very good story. Beyond the story itself, I loved the setting. I followed the characters' meanderings around Paris on a map. It was great. Bette writes a good story about a woman responding to memories. She continues her series, and left a teaser about the next one. Book was a good read, and I enjoyed it as much as all her other books. I did receive this book in advance with the understanding I would leave a review. In this case it was easy--the book is good. Very good. Looking forward to the next one.

What the Heart Remembers is Heart-Warming

Absolutely a 5 star read and a wonderful addition to the Memory House series.

This third book in the Memory House series by Bette Lee Crosby is another heart-warming story.

I am absolutely entranced by the writing and I feel as thought I am a part of the story and that I'm living it right along with the characters.

As do all of her books, this book once again has a magical quality about it. It is not overdone, but just the right does to make you believe.

This is the story of Max Martinelli who studied architecture in Paris and come home to the United States, leaving behind her beau, who she thought would follow her home. Max is heartbroken and yearns for Julien. A few years later, she feels the need to confront Julien to find out why he never followed her. She books a trip to Paris and off she goes to find her lost love.

Sometimes things in the past should remain in the past and you should look at what is staring you in the face and move forward with your life.

Take a ride on this magical journey and see what transpires. Remember, to take a box of tissue with you on your magic carpet.

Bravo Bette Lee Crosby| on another fabulous book.
