Provocative and Compelling!!!
Wicked Bride Games is a dark romance of Machiavellian proportions. There are so many twists and turns and knives sticking out of backs that I couldn't begin to figure this one out. Usually, I'm two steps ahead with these types of books, but Clarissa Wild had me running to keep up. Every time you turn around, you're picking your jaw up off the floor again. The characters are complex and well thought out and unapologetically flawed. They draw you right into the story and make you believe in this strange reality in which these young women are forced to exist. I have to say that this is one of the most provocative and compelling stories I have read to date, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thoroughly engaging read.
*I was given an ARC of this book by the author and voluntarily chose to review. All opinions are my own. .
Dark and Spicy
Holy Balls! I'm both aroused and very scared. This book is both Hot and Demented. No idea what's going to happen till your jaw hits the ground and you can't blink because of what you just read.
This is not for the faint of heart, this is not a clean happy romance. This is dark at its finest. This is beyond naughty fantasy and freakish nightmares. this is a bride game you will not soon forget.
Clarissa Wild is a genius at bringing us into a world we should be running screaming from, but leaving us panting for more.
Let the wicked graphic games begin.
The Wicked Bride Games was explicitly sexually graphic in detailing the competition between the men and girls. Both were all fighting at a chance to become the remaining power couple who had to outwit, outplay, and outlast in a game of survival. The rules were simple yet not defined. I'd compared it to a game of Russian roulette with a kinky sadist edge.
The story was shared in both Max and Naomi's POV. The story was told in four parts. Both men and women competed for a limited time under the terms of a signed contract for fifty million dollars. The ladies were hand chosen.
I issue a warning: the story contained explicit sexual scenes.
The concept was clever for a dark taboo story. This story is not intended for people with sensitivity towards abuse, humiliation, degrading women, demeaning women, and disgracing women. Keep an open mind. Clarissa has a dirty and kinky mind that at times could and did get raunchy.
The games were not organized, structured, or communicated to the women ahead of time. No agenda was coordinated, no time frame was given to determine how long each competition would last, no indication how many competitions would occur, and no plan as to who would participate. Basically these women agreed to anything the men decided for their pleasure. As a reader this was the thrilling part to read about the unexpected occurrences of the competitions.
It was a wicked insane game in a house designed for pain, torture, and pleasure. Let the games begin.
