Description

After losing her parents to pneumonia, Rosie Sullivan McMurray moves to New York City. The year is 1899, and under the supportive guidance of her aunts, she begins her new life as a vaudevillian singer for “The Sullivan Girls." On the road to success, she is introduced to New York City’s many colorful characters, including the handsome Liam Cooper, who offers to be her protective guide around the city. They begin to appreciate each other’s company a little more every day, and before they know it, they have fallen in love.
“The Sullivan Girls” success as talented entertainers attracts the attention of business tycoon Cornelius Vanderbilt, and they are hired to spend a summer in Rhode Island to perform for upper-class socialites at distinguished mansions. Rosie is introduced to the dashing heir of the Vanderbilt fortune, Cameron Vanderbilt, who has a flair for romance and is keen on showing Rosie the way life is enjoyed by the elite of society.
Back in New York City, tragedy strikes, and the Vanderbilt family plans an elaborate gala to help raise funds for the Sullivans. Rosie is offered an interesting proposition to secure her financial future. During a whirlwind summer, will Rosie be able to follow her love of performing and navigate the wild seas of romance?

Wild Irish Rosie

This is a beautifully written story of a young girl from Chicago whom ended up in New York due to a sad family tragedy . The descriptive language moves the story along as you vividly see scene by scene in your mind . Great care has been taken to include accurate historical settings and wonderfully described period attire. As the story unfolds there is laughter , love and suspense .
I highly recommend this lovely story of Wild Irish Rosie.

Such a fun read! The vivid language the author uses to capture the world, the clothing and the innermost thoughts and feelings of Rosie is entrancing. If you’re longing to escape into a turn-of-the-century world of a young woman’s romance and adventure, this is your book.

Wild Irish Rosie

I really enjoyed Wild Irish Rosie. It's a terrific read, and a sweet story that transports the reader to a different time and place. I love it when a book is suspenseful, but relaxing all at the same time. This book reminds me a lot of The Witch of Blackbird Pond- if you enjoyed that, you will love Wild Irish Rosie.
