The Art of Digital Photography and Creative Thinking
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Part manifesto, part artist's portfolio and part technical manual, Window Seat, The Art of Digital Photography and Creative Thinking is guaranteed to awaken, delight, and inspire the creative spirit that lives in all of us.
Photographer, creativity guru and Adobe digital imaging evangelist, Julieanne Kost travels by plane 200 days a year. For the past decade, she’s been shooting photographs from those airplane windows, recording the extraordinary world that lies beyond the everyday drudgery of business travel on a commercial jet.
She urges us to consider – and embrace - that which is outside of our daily experience. To see all that we do in our lives as creative acts. To continually strive to stay awake and aware, challenging ourselves to go beyond the status quo.
Beautiful book. Wonderful artist. Informative and inspiring.
I was fortunate enough to see Julieanne present many of these images before the original paper book was published. Then to buy and marvel at the book when it first came out. This e-book is an even better presentation of this work than before. Whether to just admire the gorgeous images, or read the musings of the perennial traveler, or learn how to tease the most out of those disappointing images you've taken out of airplane windows, this book cannot disappoint.
Really enjoyed it!
I travel often for work and really enjoyed all the great photos and reading the book (via iBooks). I have seen Julieanne present several times and knew I would enjoy her book!
