Previously published in the anthologies Stroke of Midnight and Dark Bites, Winter Born is now available as a standalone e-novella by #1 New York Times bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon!
Were-Hunter, Dante Pontis has come to Atlanta with his annoying younger brothers to scope out bands for his club at one of the largest SF conventions in the country. While trying to keep the younger shape-shifters out of trouble, the last thing he ever expects to find is a pantherswan from the future on the run from her enemies.
All Pandora wants is to be left alone and to escape a death sentence that's been leveled against her, but when she comes face to face with Dante, she learns that sometimes the best heroes can come from the least likely of places ...
This was the first story I ever read by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The first time I read it I had borrowed the anthology Stroke of Midnight from the library because it had Lori Handeland in it. Once I read Dante and Pandora’s novella I was hooked. Dante and Pandora are from the panther branch of the Were-Hunters. Dante and his brothers are at Dragon Con to see bands for his club the Inferno. Acheron suggested they check out the convention he attended yearly. Pandora was at that event to find Ash and get his help. When Dante and Pandora come together they find what neither knew they needed.
This story introduced me to DragonCon and I will be forever grateful. It was actually the first book in this world I read (it had been part of an anthology). Pandora and Dante are delightful and the setting is so fun! Acheron and Simi’s appearances are hilarious and awesome. I love the mix of Katagari and Arcadian and how unexpectedly they went together. Worth a read!
