Winters Heat

Book 1, Titan - A Titan Novel

This book is available for download with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device, and with iTunes on your computer. Books can be read with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

After putting her life on the line to protect classified intelligence, military psychologist Mia Kensington is on a cross-country road trip from hell with an intrusive save-the-day hero. Uninterested in his white knight act, she’d rather take her chances without the ruggedly handsome, cold-blooded operative who boasts an alpha complex and too many guns.

Colby Winters, an elite member of The Titan Group, has a single objective on his black ops mission: recover a document important to national security. It was supposed to be an easy in-and-out operation. But now, by any means necessary becomes a survival mantra when he faces off with a stunning woman he can’t leave behind.

When Titan’s safe houses are compromised, Colby stashes Mia at his home, exposing his secret—he’s the adoptive father of an orphaned baby girl. Too soon, danger arrives and Mia lands in the hands of a sadistic cartel king with a taste for torture. As hours bleed into fear-drenched days, Colby races across the globe and through a firestorm of bullets to save the woman he can’t live without.

Hot series

OMG I’m in love with Mia & Colby! 5 stars and I’d rate it higher if I could!
Read in a single sitting and couldn’t seem to put the book down. I enjoyed the suspense and action, and to be honest, this was a fresh of breathe air. I was in a reading funk until I picked this up.

I loved the characters, they had chemistry together, and I found them interesting outside of the main plot. The supporting cast were full of chuckle ready moments, and I loved the snappy and quirky way everyone worked together. It felt right, and if you know how insane military life is and the bonds formed, then you can’t not relate.

The plot itself was explosive although it built up in the beginning. Just when you think, okay it’s over, something else would happen. I’ve never been kidnapped or had to rescue someone who was kidnapped, but again the story felt right and not overdone. If anything, I’d compare it to a Die Hard movie or even Lethal Weapon, but I hate comparing things.

I can’t wait to read more of the series. In fact, I can’t wait for this book to become available for purchase and as soon as I’m done, I’ll be all over Netgalley looking for the next book.

Review: Titan #1: Winter’s Heat

Winters Heat by Cristin Harber is the first book in her Titan series. An action packed emotional ride you won't regret taking.

The Titan Group is a force of elite ex-military personnel that specialize in special-ops type missions that the government either can't cover or doesn't want direct involvement in. Colby is sent to retrieve a package when he witnesses an unknown female abducted by some sleazy men at the package pickup location. He soon follows and rescues her but she isn't sure who to trust so errs on the side of trust no one.

Mia is on a mission to retrieve something a now dead (under suspicious circumstances) patient told her about. She had put his ramblings down to PTSD and paranoia but turns out he was right. The confirmation in her abduction by some sleazy henchmen. When a uber-hot, confident alpha male comes to her rescue she is slow to trust him but eventually things between them warm up in more ways than one.

Audible Audiobook Review: Titan #1: Winter's Heat
Would you listen to Winters Heat again? Why?
Probably not. I read for pleasure but also for the purpose of reviewing for my blog - time is limited and there are VERY few books that hit my re-read list.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Colby was probably my favorite - obvious choice as he is the main male love interest in the story - but he was alpha and capable, deadly and delicious.

Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first time I have listened to a book narrated by Jeffrey Kafer. It was a good performance and I wouldn't mind hearing him narrate other books in this series.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Torn between the choice of two unknown dangers always choose the hot and brooding one over the sleazy henchmen.

Loved! Couldn't put it down!
