The “wise, wildly funny story” of a self-destructive writer’s lost weekend by a Pulitzer Prize–winning, New York Times–bestselling author (Chicago Tribune). A wildly successful first novel made Grady Tripp a young star, and seven years later he still hasn’t grown up. He’s now a writing professor in Pittsburgh, plummeting through middle age, stuck with an unfinishable manuscript, an estranged wife, a pregnant girlfriend, and a talented but deeply disturbed student named James Leer. During one lost weekend at a writing festival with Leer and debauched editor Terry Crabtree, Tripp must finally confront the wreckage made of his past decisions. Mordant but humane, Wonder Boys features characters as loveably flawed as any in American fiction. This ebook features a biography of the author. “With this, his second novel and third book, Chabon leaves no doubt that he is the young star of American letters. . . .” —The Washington Post “If it’s true that God is in the details, then Michael Chabon’s prose is knocking at heaven’s gate.” —Elle “An impeccably constructed novel that sparkles with inventiveness and wit neatly permeated with rue. . . .” —Publishers Weekly Michael Chabon (b. 1963) is an acclaimed and bestselling author whose works include the Pulitzer Prize–winning novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay (2000). Chabon achieved literary fame at age twenty-four with his first novel, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh (1988), which was a major critical and commercial success. He then published Wonder Boys (1995), another bestseller, which was made into a film starring Michael Douglas. One of America’s most distinctive voices, Chabon has been called “a magical prose stylist” by the New York Times Book Review, and is known for his lively writing, nostalgia for bygone modes of storytelling, and deep empathy for the human predicament.

This book is fantastic...the characters are well constructed and you will instantly get into the story...this book is hard to put down and the wry sarcasm of the narrator is fantastic. This is one of my favorite books of all time. You'll laugh and be sad and you will think. How can you ask any more from an author?
