ZippityZern's Uncommon Nonsense
A Farmer's Almanac

There are personal essays. There are creative non-fiction essays, which are essays dressed up to go to a party. Then there are ZippityZern's essays, and that's a whole other bunch of not-faux stories dressed up to go to a kicking barn dance. Subjects covered in the Almanac include: gelding sheath cleaning and feral chicken trouble.
The first in a series of short, humorous essay collections, the Almanac will be followed by:
ZippityZern's Uncommon Nonsense - The Dark Times, ZippityZern's Uncommon Nonsense - Times That Were Dark but Only at Night, and ZippityZern's Uncommon Nonsense - The Flashlight Years . . .
According to one of Ms. Zern's college professors, serious literature speaks to the heart and humor writing speaks to the intellect, which is another way of saying that writing about human mayhem is a breeze. It's taking mayhem and turning it into laughs, now that's the trick, and generally it takes smart people to appreciate the irony of fire ants who can dance the tango.
