An Adventure in Motorcycle Physics

by Motorcycle Safety Foundation

This course material is only available in the iTunes U app on iPhone or iPad.

Course Description

Motorcyclists can improve their riding awareness and skills by acquiring a deeper understanding of the physics of riding. Although technical in nature, this content offers practical application in helping riders become more effective decision-makers as they control the inputs when operating their motorcycle on the street.

This course is based upon the intellectual property of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the DVD/booklet set "The Complete Motorcyclist" published by the Institut für Zweiradsicherheit e.V.

Missing docs? No more....

UPDATE: very fast response MSF... It now appears that every weeks lesson has content provided, really great course and overview for some self learning or brushing up.

The course seems like its missing pdf's to go along with the weekly material. For example, Week 1 has a section 4 that asks you to read a specific document that is not available. Am I issuing something?

I'll update the review if I find out I'm missing something or an update to the course is made. Otherwise I'm not sure how to appropriately rate the course other than Incomplete.

This is bad

I'm surprised that MSF has published this. While the information may be good, relevant & accurate, the diagrams used and the verbiage within are hard to decipher. Many details and explanation are left out of their physics-oriented descriptions of what's going on. They give just enough info to be confusing. I think they make their point, but they offer a lot of interesting information that we really need more information on. Much was overlooked (in laziness or for brevity) in the production of this "course". It was barely worth what I paid for it (US$0.00).
