Course Description

This course covers Electricity and Magnetism; first as two separate topics and then combining the two in Electromagnetism.  The electromagnetic spectrum is covered; particularly Optics.  This course is given at Arizona State University and uses algebra but not calculus. This online course for the general public, uses video lectures, video experiments with students participating and narrated applets which are available to do afterwards. It can be used as preparation for the MCAT.
The course is organised within 11 Modules, which contain a total of 35 Lectures and all the other detailed course material.  All material can be downloaded. The powerpoints used in the lectures are also available in either *.pdf or *.ppt file formats. A large selection of problems are solved in the recitation videos. This course is free and for educational uses only; there is no homework or exams, no message boards and no support.  There is no credit or certificate of completion available.

To get started just dive in to Lecture 1 and move down through the material. The Lectures are about 50 minutes each, some longer and some shorter, as I chose to end at natural pause points; something that can't always be done in a classroom. However I expect you to view 10 mins here and 15 mins there as you work your way though. The recitations each cover 10 problems in depth with a navigation button down the side. I hope you both enjoy the material and find it useful.
