Course Description

This course is designed to introduce secondary school students (grades 6-12) to global issues and empower them to take action.  Students will start by exploring the 17 Sustainable Development Goals identified by the United Nations.  They will select an area of interest and begin with research, make connections to learning, reach out to experts, and collaborate with students around the world as they identify a specific problem to tackle. This course will guide them to explore global issues, connect with a global community, develop pathways for action, and facilitate implementation of student driven strategies to affect change.
