Course Description

Presentation Course for History Whispering At ISTE 2012 & Cool Tools East Bay CUE 2013
Course contributors: Cheryl Davis, Kathleen Ferenz, Cass Mulholland

Learn how students can "history whisper" with iPads in three ways:

Collectors & Curators - Students collect and personalize history applying their historian skills to their families, neighborhoods, towns and cities. As collectors and curators, students become the historians.

Citizen Sleuth - Students are the interpreters of history practicing critical thinking and primary and secondary source analysis skills.  Students solve the puzzles of history and government and create solutions for local, national and international challenges.

Practitioner Extraordinaire - Students communicate (whisper) about history. Using a variety of tools and skill sets, including writing, presentation tools, speaking and multimedia, students tell the stories of history and explain the data and fact sets that contribute to that story.
