Customer Reviews

highly recommended

Dr. Anderson's method of teaching the five solas and the doctrines of grace by dividing them up into definition, demonstration (Scriptural support) and defense has been extremely helpful and practical! I would highly recommend this series to anyone wanting to learn the biblical basis and how to give a defense of these doctrines.

A Wonderful Course on How to Apply Theology to Ministry

Dr. Anderson does a wonderful job teaching the five Solas of the Reformation and the five doctrines of grace. In each instance he defines the topic, then demonstrates it thoroughly from the Scripture, and then defends it not against straw men, but against very difficult questions that can be asked. He has the gift of being incredibly clear. His review of the interaction between exegetical theology, biblical theology, and systematic theology will be with me in every sermon prepared. My favorite point made in the whole lecture series is that we are not saved by faith in a doctrine, but by a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

Good for anyone

While the lectures are based on a classroom curriculum - anyone who is looking to hear sound biblical teaching could benefit greatly from it. Each lesson ends with an application and the teachings will motivate and minister to your soul. Only thing - and it is a minor thing - that keeps me from giving it a great rating but at times Dr. Anderson opens up to classroom discussion and the questions/thoughts from the class are sometimes hard to pick up on the recording. Highly recommend!
