Valuation (Fall 2012)

by New York University

This course material is only available in the iTunes U app on iPhone or iPad.

Course Description

Valuation is a fundamental tool required for almost any aspect of business. It is a critical component, if you are starting your own business and looking for funds or if you are a large publicly traded company in the market place. This is a course on valuing not just stocks, but any type of business, small or large, private or public. While it is designed for MBAs who have some background in finance it is within the reach of anyone with a background in basic statistics and accounting and a willingness to spend some time on the topic.

Amazing course

Damodaran runs through valuation in a practical fashion. He turns an art into something you can understand and makes it tangible with real life examples. Great lecturer. Highly recomend for anyone interested in valuation.

Valuation and Business Modeling Analyst

Excellent course. I am currently about half way through this course, and I have found it to be one of the best recources on valuation (along with McKinsey's book "Valuation"). I have studied some valuation in undergrad but I am using this book to prepare for my career as a "Valuation and Business Modeling Analyst" in Tokyo from next month.

The professor has a lot of experience and knowledge, but the best part about this course is that the professor can convery the topics in a "human" and understandable way, which many finance professors seems incapable of.

One of the top two recourses for valuation!
