LIke An Informative Discussion At A Pajama Party

This podcast in very informative. I learn a lot of new information in a very casual way. Once you get past the chortling and giggling that pops up at odd times, these ladies provide a cornucopia of incisive information and insight, drawing frequently on their personal visits to the places mentioned. They provide a perspecitve that is free from the typical haughtiness that so often permeates discussions of art and art history.

Nice idea but could be better...

I like the idea of this podcast, and the information presented is pretty fascinating, HOWEVER, there are a few things that would greatly improve it and make it more listenable. First off, I really wish the hosts would breathe a little more, slow down their delivery, and put more periods in their sentences. They just go on and on at a rapid pace without stopping, which makes for a frenzied listening experience. Not relaxing on the ears. I appreciate that they are excited about what they are podcasting, but some pauses in the delivery would give some respite to the audience. Okay, second, I wish the hosts would stop interrupting each other. They continually talk over one another and don't let each other finish their sentences. It makes it feel as though they are fighting for voice time. It's extremely difficult to try and listen to two people talking at the same time. If one person talked at a time, it would be easier to absorb the information and the hosts would seem like they have more respect for each other. It would also be great if they let their guest podcasters have more air time, and not interrupt them every two seconds. Why would you invite them on if you're not going to let them get two words in? And lastly, I wish they would quit it with the feeble little attempts at humor in the form of side comments (again, usually while interrupting each other). It doesn't add much to the podcast and it's not that funny to begin with. I'm sure they would have more success at being humorous if they didn't try to be. Just be natural and let it come on its own. Again, the content and topics are great, but I think taking these points into consideration would improve the show overall.

I love all kinds of art...But the problem with so many shows that highlight art or discuss it seem to try and appeal to the "Sophisticated". But not these gals. I love the banter back and forth energy they create. You can tell they're passionate about it. It's engaging and informative. You ladies will probably run into prudes like the person above because they've only had Art History presented to them in stereotypical ways. So keep it up ladies...I'm a fan!
