Description

Welcome to the Basic Academic Skills video series. This series of videos is aimed at secondary and post-secondary students who want to learn more about reseaching and writing. If you didn't quite catch what your instructor said in class the other day or if you don't remember how to make a thesis statement because your attention span in high school was a bit scattered, rest assured you are not alone. The explanations and examples in these easy to understand videos will help you get on the path to writing sucess in no time. The goal of Basic Academic Skills is to create learning objects that supplement and enrich the University of Prince Edward Island’s writing program as well as to encourage literacy and academic skills within the English as an additional language university community, the K-12 public school system and the public at large. Integration of learning and technology and promotion of effective communication skills in an accessible manner guides the initial uses of the current and future purpose of the objects.

Customer Reviews

Truncated videos

I looked at files 11 and 12 both by downloading to iTunes and by streaming in iTunes. Both were truncated before the subject matter was completed.

The video would have been good if it would have completed.

Good and concise basic instruction until it cuts of at what appears to be 2/3 the way through the video.

Video ended early

The video was very easy to follow but it cut off before the end of the presentation.
