Description

The University of South Wales was formed in 2013 by the merger of the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport. Items in this collection may have been originally published on iTunes U by the University of Glamorgan. These dialogues will help you to practise and consolidate some of the language skills you are learning, either as part of a language course or as something you need for your work. The aim of the dialogues is to present the new language and structures within a work-related context. You can listen to the dialogues alone or with the accompanying PDF transcripts. We recommend that you begin by listening to each dialogue a few times without its transcript. This will help you to practise your listening skills and you will get used to hearing the language without seeing it written down. After all, that is more likely to be what happens in real life. Don't rush through the dialogues. You will need to spend plenty of time working through each one and familiarising yourself with the language and structures. Also, try to spend regular amounts of time studying: you will find 30 to 45 mins a day — or even every two days — far more beneficial than 2 to 3 hrs once a week. We hope you enjoy using the materials we have prepared and that they will help you increase in confidence as you put your new language skills to good effect. Voice Over Artist: Milli Rendell The University of South Wales (USW) was formed in April 2013 by the merger of the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport.
