Grupo Cañaveral is a highly skilled and energetic band that plays traditional music from across Latin America. The group was founded in September 1985 by Hilda Luisa and Nelson Zuleto. They perform songs intended to teach listeners about Latin American culture and musical traditions. The group consists of Hilda Luisa (vocal/maracas); Juan Areco (vocal/guitar); Roberto Perena (harpist); and Nelson Zuleto (vocals/quatro).
