Hollywood North: Where today's student is tomorrow's filmmaker. Entertaining, provocative, and informative, Hollywood North is a delicious stuffed pita pocket for the ears with a large side order of Media Industry Professionals. Hosted by Screenwriter and De Anza College Screenwriting Instructor Barak Goldman, and produced by the Film School Students, Hollywood North will discuss and explore all matters pertaining to the education and business of film, television, and other media. We will cover subjects ranging from breaking in and succeeding in the industry, whether it be as a screenwriter, producer, director, cinematographer, sound designer, actor, casting agent, critic, animator, and even craft service caterer. We will cover agents, lawyers, managers, distribution, film festivals, all things old and new media. COMING ATTRACTIONS: A Movable Fest: Bay Area Film Festivals, where representatives from seven Bay Area film festivals discuss the continuing relevance of film festivals. The De Anza College Film & TV department, established 30 years ago in the heart of SIlicon Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area, is the largest and most successful Community College program of its kind in the country.
