Wonderful introduction!

I'm a med student with no background in immunology and 6 weeks to learn it. Im in a PBL type course with no lectures to fall back on. This course has been a wonderful help as it parallels the information I'm assigned to learn. Prof. Beck uses kube and we use Abbas in our course but listening to his lectures make the reading flow better. He loves and knows his stuff.
Its also clear that he is enthusiastic and loves to teach. Thank you, Dr. Beck for making this available to us.

I'm about to start med school this summer, and while my undergraduate school does not offer immunology this year, I found these lectures to be an extremely useful tool to prepare myself.

Orthopedic surgeon

I am practicing orthopedic surgeon. A 1971 graduate of Wayne State Medical school, I was exposed to very little molecular biology, almost no immunology. This course was an excellent compendium of both. I have dealt, diagnosed and treated all the disease states discussed and knew about immunology in a general way, picked up as I studied treatment of disease states. This course served several general themes for me 1st, a good basic introduction to immunology, 2nd a 1st hand look at the teaching didactics of a good prof/teacher's approach to modern day 3/4 year college students, 3rd a basic over view of modern molecular biology. I was disappointed that prof Beck did not discuss steroid, methotrexate COX, Asa, and prostaglandin influences on the system, but overall it was a good course well presented and recommended. I feel that completing this course will help me in understanding what's coming, what is and allow me a much better basic science understanding of my patients lab reports.Thank You Professor Beck
