Description
Lighting, special effects and video are used to create moments of stage magic. The choices a lighting designer makes about how a set and actors are lit have a major impact on the mood of a scene. The National Theatre's Lighting Department deploys everything from the humble parcan to complex automated lights.

Excellent introduction to lighting
Nicely produced videos present an introductory review of theatrical lighting. The videos are vey short. With only ten episodes the information here is a good introduction rather than an in-depth study. The content has good production value and is interesting. Let's hope more videos are added with an in-depth look at the productions at the Nation Theatre.
