Description
The Division of Music and Sound provides courses which cover the full spectrum of today’s music and sound industries from creative composition, through performance and production, to the technical design of software and hardware. It is as much about the sound on a film or within a computer game as it is about performance in a concert hall or manuscript scores. Our staff team, who continue to work with or within the music industry, share a very broad range of skills and experience. They are all performers or practitioners, but they also include composers and experienced improvisers, recording producers and engineers, live sound engineers and electronics engineers, musical instrument makers and acousticians, music industry and music culture experts, researchers and industrial developers, film sound and film music creators, computer music composers and programmers, composers for theatre and stage, multimedia experts and world music practitioners. For more information, please visit our website. The University of South Wales was formed in 2013 by the merger of the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport. Some items in this collection may have been originally published on iTunes U by the University of Glamorgan.
