This course features two teaching vignettes, one of a fourth-grade teacher focusing on mathematics and one of a tenth-grade English teacher focusing on essay writing. Videos can be used for professional development for training teacher evaluators on how to gather evidence from a formal observation. The videos are not necessarily meant to exemplify model lessons. The videos are used in Virginia by permission granted from the Georgia Department of Education. The Georgia Department of Education grants limited permission to the Virginia Department of Education to utilize the Georgia Department of Education's videos (Graduation Counts and GPS training video) in Virginia's teacher evaluation training. These videos may be used with Virginia school divisions and universities to train evaluators and teachers. Any use of the material must expressly state that all rights in and to the material belong to the Georgia Department of Education. Please note that this permission is a revocable nonexclusive license granted by Georgia Department of Education.
