Plot Summary

Boxoffice superstar and Academy Award-winner Mel Gibson ("Maverick," "Braveheart") and Danny Glover ("The Color Purple," "Grand Canyon") team up as L.A. cops in the top-grossing action movie that spawned three sequels. Directed by Richard Donner ("Superman," "Maverick"), Gibson is a volatile, unregistered risk-taker, known as a "lethal weapon" by his colleagues. Glover is the conservative detective with a solid reputation. Forced to form an uneasy alliance, they begin to unravel the mystery of an apparent suicide that turns out to be murder -- and more. The New York Times calls this "a high-voltage thriller which packs an undeniable wallop;" Gene Shalit calls it "riveting!...a pair of heroes I hope we'll be seeing again;" and Joel Siegel says it's "a detective thriller that just won't quit...this one is so good it will be the standard for action films all year long!" Co-starring Academy Award-nominee Gary Busey ("The Firm," "Under Siege").

Plot Summary

This high-voltage sequel continues the adventures of Los Angeles detectives Riggs and Murtaugh (Oscar-winner Mel Gibson and Danny Glover) as they try to thwart a smuggling ring of blond South African "diplomats". Gibson finds romance this time around, and Academy Award- winner Joe Pesci ("GoodFellas," "My Cousin Vinnie") joins the team as fast-talking con artist Leo Getz. "At the Movies" calls this "...Pure dynamite!...a summer blockbuster with enough humor, excitement and action for two movies," while Roger Ebert praises "...Terrific... entertaining from one end to the other." Gene Shalit sums up all the cheers, calling it "...even more fun than the original ...directed at a mile a minute by Richard Donner...lots of laughs.

Plot Summary

This boxoffice blockbuster sequel reunites box-office superstar and Oscar-winner Mel Gibson ("Braveheart," "Maverick"), Danny Glover ("The Color Purple") and Oscar-winner Joe Pesci ("GoodFellas," "My Cousin Vinny"), and introduces Rene Russo ("Get Shorty," "In the Line of Fire") as a tough Internal Affairs cop who gives Gibson a run for his money. Glover's last week before retirement has no chance of being peaceful -- not while Gibson is still his partner, and an ex-cop turned criminal mastermind is on the loose. Bringing with it all the humor and action of the first two "Lethal Weapon" hits, ABC radio says "Lethal Weapon 3" is "3 times the excitement ...3 times the action ...3 times the laughs!"

Lethal Weapon 4

Plot Summary

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover return as buddy cops Riggs and Murtaugh, with Joe Pesci riding comedy shotgun as chatterbox Leo. Murtaugh is still the family man. Riggs is still the gonzo loose cannon and - what's this? - family man. His will-he/won't he marriage to Cole (Rene Russo) is one of the new wrinkles in this powerhouse crowd-pleaser that also stars comedy favorite Chris Rock and international action star Jet Li. This sequel involves an action packed battle with a Chinese ganglord.

BUY IT

If you enjoy all the Lethal Weapons like I do. I say buy it. They never get old no matter how many times you watch them. And if you wanna move on to the next film there it is plus each film is much cheaper this. ($5.50 per film). Mel Gibson and Danny Glover go great together, like Willis & Jackson (Die Hard 3).

These can't be the director's cuts

The times are off and the individual box art is wrong. Just an FYI. I almost made the mistake of buying them on that notion.
