Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Even its wistful tone points toward an opportunity missed; unfortunately, the film doesn't fully explore its big ideas or give its talented cast dialogue to match.
Rotten: The writing/directing debut of Minhal Baig enlists experienced actors but has little idea what to do with them, making a hash of its intended meditation on the compromises required by long-term relationships.
Rotten: This romantic fantasy works on a conceptual level, but not in execution.

This movie is really good. I wasn't sure when I first saw the trailer but then I watched the movie and it was really good loved the story
Timeless film with an interesting plot twist
1 Night is a compelling romantic indie drama about two contrasting love stories between a young and more mature couple premiering just in time for Valentine’s Day. Taking place in LA over the course of one night—prom night, Elizabeth and Drew, a married couple trying to rekindle their love seek to find Bea and Andrew, childhood best friends who have drifted apart since. From the beginning of the film you can tell that these two couples are somehow linked, but it’s not until the end, after a very subtle but intriguing plot twist that you find out how. The movie itself is beautiful, and the plot, while sounds a little cheesy, isn’t; it has aspects both younger and more experienced couples can relate to. The characters are charming; the younger couple reminds me a lot of other indie film, Submarine. Overall, I really enjoyed the film. Definitely a perfect watch for this Valentine’s Day.
