About the Movie

Three extraordinary stories all lived out within a hundred London streets. Leon Butler’s script charts interconnecting London stories, including those of a former rugby star (Elba) and his wife (Arterton), a small time drug dealer (Attack the Block star Franz Drameh) and a rich playboy (Omar star Adam Bakri).

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: It's a portrait of similar struggles existing in proximity of time and place; of individual battles being fought side by side yet alone. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Jan 12, 2017

Rotten: "A Hundred Streets" seems oddly unequal to the status of its charismatic name cast, headlined by Idris Elba and Gemma Arterton. – Guy Lodge, Variety, Nov 16, 2016

Rotten: It's six or so characters in search of a meaningful movie. – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Jan 12, 2017

Rotten: Though there's clearly a compassionate impulse behind Leon F. Butler's class-conscious screenplay, it rapidly devolves into implausible melodrama. – Sheri Linden, Hollywood Reporter, Jan 12, 2017

Awesome

Beautiful, complex, and interesting characters. Hard to find such high quality British movies. And plus Idris Elba's in it, so there's always that!

Great watch

I read poor reviews online before I watched. I'm glad I didn't listen. It was a very emotionally moving film. Several different lives crossing paths and I could relate to each.

Yawn Fest.

Disaapointed to say the least. ugh!
