Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: An empty, efficient thriller that leaves you as cold as most of its characters.
Fresh: Stamm brings such a deft touch to these tonal transitions that it's hard to believe he directed the dreadful 2010 hit The Last Exorcism.
Fresh: 13 Sins is a smart, stylish picture elevated by fine performances by Webber and a superior ensemble of supporting players, including Richard Bower, Ron Perlman, and Pruitt Taylor Vince.
Fresh: Darkly funny and deeply twisted, "13 Sins" grabs you from its startling opening sequence and doesn't let go.
Not for the squeamish !!!
When it appeared on indies it rented for 3.99 sd. Checked the trailer ( briefly, cause they always show far to much/spoilers ) it looked good to me so I rented it, it s a brutal story and done well, it s a little choppy ( forgive the pun, for no pun intended ). When re clicked to rate and review, I noticed the price was now 9.99 to rent. Checked my purchase bill, no error there. Hey I tunes, whatta ya coin ? Would not rent this movie for 10$ not even the 7$ price. Wait and wath when the price comes down or buy it. Cheers
Twisted, Tense and Cool
So much better than I could have anticipated. It's like a more intense version if THE GAME. Mark Weber is the ultimate everyman we can all relate to and he totally crushes it. A definite must watch simply to see how far they take it.
Constantly engaging gruesome thriller!
Extremely pleased to see Director Daniel Stamm’s follow up, as I loved The Last Exorcism. Mark Webber and Ron Pearlman’s solid performances add a great dimension to the film as well. I was constantly engaged and loved the hint of dark humor in this gruesome thriller!
