About the Movie

Ethan Hawke gives an explosive performance in this epic action-thriller from the producers of JOHN WICK. Travis Conrad (Hawke) is an ex-special ops marine-turned-mercenary who is lured out of retirement by the covert company that used to employ him. After Travis is killed during a brutal firefight, a new regeneration surgery gives him a second chance at life — and one last shot at redemption — in this nonstop, pulse-pounding thrill ride.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: So long as you turn your thinking cap off, this high-energy enterprise will provide plenty of less-than-highbrow fun. – Dennis Harvey, Variety, Nov 22, 2017

Rotten: Hawke delivers a workmanlike performance, but can't redeem the third act's macho baloney ... – John DeFore, Hollywood Reporter, Nov 2, 2017

Rotten: Plotted like a Crank sequel and has dialogue that sounds like it was written by a teenage boy. – Brian Tallerico, RogerEbert.com, Dec 1, 2017

Rotten: Brian Smrz never contrasts the film's violence with stillness, allowing the audience to enjoy a sense of foreboding escalation. – Chuck Bowen, Slant Magazine, Nov 29, 2017

O.K., Sort of...

It's O.K.--just barely. The script was too formulalistic and the set/location design was somewhat marginal. The talented actors couldn't save the movie from itself. Rating: 2.756 stars. Adviso: This is more or less a B-grade movie and its current price is unrealistic...

Wasn't bad

Predictable, but it killed some time.

Passes the time...

Slim plot, Hawke is fine as a war torn mercenary, but the film never quite connects.
