Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The movie never finds a way to blend the emotional and the rat-a-tat-tat into one seamless package the way that Besson did in his one and only good movie, The Professional. – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, Feb 23, 2014

Rotten: How did 3 Days to Kill, which doesn't have the worst imaginable premise, turn out this bad? – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Feb 23, 2014

Rotten: Every gag is premised on the fact that Renner allows his work and personal lives to overlap, though this contradicts everything we've been told about him and would obviously heighten the risk to his loved ones. – J. R. Jones, Chicago Reader, Feb 28, 2014

Rotten: Long before Kevin Costner is demanding pasta sauce info at gunpoint from a terrified Italian hostage in 3 Days to Kill, it's obvious no one is following any kind of coherent recipe for this movie. – Peter Howell, Toronto Star, Feb 20, 2014

Wow, this movie was horrible (no spoilers)

I wanted to like this movie. I really like Kevin Costner and Hailee Steinfeld and it sounded like an interesting (if well-worn) premise. However, tonally, this movie was all over the map. It wanted to be “Taken” but with the gravity of a Katherine Heigl romcom. Everything about this movie makes no sense from a character standpoint (they go from one scene, being “real” or at least “serious" people, to the next, being buffoonish clowns) but the ending is especially nonsensical. I said “no spoilers” and I won’t “ruin" the ending, but c’mon movie…. that ending made absolutely NO sense given everything that had happened to that point (generally) and that had happened in the final five minutes (in particular). I could not wait for this movie to be over. I wasn’t expecting Citizen Kane, given McG’s involvement, but I figured it might be entertaining at some level. It wasn’t. It really, really, really wasn’t. I feel like I want to spend the rest of my life inventing time travel just so I can get those 2 hours back.

Fake apple ratings

As anyone can see the majority of the apple ratings are fake and most likely made up by apple itself. Compare these ratings to any other ratings such as Netflix etc and you will see. Apple is just trying to fool you will fake ratings so you will buy and rent more. This movie is maybe one if the worst movies ever made.

Not good. Not even close.

Like it was written by committee and directed by someone who didn't care. And, the casting choices might be the worst I've seen in a long time. I hope you don't waste your time watching.
