Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: An ostensible romantic comedy that's really just a grating portrait of an irredeemable jerk. – Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times, May 31, 2012

Rotten: Weaver's last ditch attempt to upend rom-com convention and rewrite the movie as a skeevy lout's comeuppance hardly makes up for the cliched slog that comes before. – Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, Jun 8, 2012

Rotten: As with the latest Kate Hudson comedy, it's a formula for irrelevancy pretty much as a rule. – Eric Hynes, Village Voice, May 29, 2012

Rotten: Imagine Tucker Max minus the charm and you've got . . . well, Tucker Max, but also Blayne Weaver, the star-writer-director of the indie rom-com "6 Month Rule." – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Jun 1, 2012

A great unconventional Rom-Com

It has laughs. It has heart. It has twists. It has Natalie Morales. What else do you want?

Seriously, this film is great, and you should watch it.

Fresh look at modern dating

Not your typical romantic comedy. Guys and girls will like this film. It's not sappy but it has heart. I would recommend it to all my friends who want to see a movie that has a fresh look on dating today.

Reviews don't do it justice

The movie is funny and the reviews focus too much on the character's "skeeziness" which is actually the comedy in the movie. Definitely worth checking out.
